A well-organized course helps learners understand what to do next. Fomedi’s Course Builder uses three main stages: Basics, Curriculum, and Additional. Prepare your outline before opening it so the first version stays focused.
1. Open Courses in your instructor dashboard
Sign in, open My learning, and select Courses. Choose New Course when your instructor account has that permission. To improve an existing course, use its Edit Course option. Check the title carefully before making changes to a course learners already use.
2. Complete Basics
Enter a descriptive title and explain who the course is for. Describe the practical outcome, what learners need before starting, and the main topics. Set a suitable difficulty level and category. Add a relevant featured image that remains understandable at a small size.
The Basics screen also includes visibility, pricing, and other options. Choose only settings you understand, and confirm commercial arrangements with Fomedi when needed. Adding a price does not mean that your course is approved or ready to accept enrollments.
3. Build the Curriculum
Open Curriculum and use Add Topic to create your first section. Give each topic a meaningful name, then add lessons within it using Lesson. Introduce one main task in each lesson so students can see a clear progression.
For example, a beginner course could have a setup topic, a first-project topic, and a review topic. Add Quiz or Assignment activities only when they support an outcome you have actually taught.
4. Review Additional
Open Additional and complete the relevant fields displayed for your course. Use this stage to clarify any further learning information or requirements. Fields can depend on the account and enabled course features.
5. Save and preview your work
Use the save, draft, or update action offered by your current screen. Select Preview and review the course as a learner would: title, description, topic order, cover image, and lesson access. Do not use publishing controls until the content and required reviews are ready.
Next step: Create your lessons before using Upload course videos, because the upload page associates each recording with a specific course and lesson.
