Teaching continues after a course is published. Clear updates and specific answers help learners finish lessons and understand what to do next. Fomedi’s instructor workspace includes areas for Courses, Announcements, Quiz Attempts, Assignments, Discussions, and Live Classes; the actions available depend on your permissions and enabled features.
1. Start with the right course
Open My learning, then Courses. Confirm the course title before editing content or responding to an activity. When several courses cover similar topics, this simple check prevents an update from reaching the wrong context.
2. Use announcements for course updates
Open Announcements and review the course-selection and posting controls offered to your account. Share concise information such as a revised resource, a new lesson, or a correction. Name the affected lesson and explain the next action. Check the course and wording before submitting an announcement.
A helpful update says what changed and why it matters. For example: “The resource in Lesson 2 has been updated. Please use the new file for your practice exercise.” Avoid including private information about an individual learner in a course-wide message.
3. Answer questions with practical steps
Use Discussions or the course Q&A feature when it is enabled. Read the learner’s question, identify the lesson involved, and respond with the next step they can try. If you need more information, ask for the device, error message, or step where they became stuck.
4. Review assessments fairly
Open Quiz Attempts or Assignments to inspect the activities accessible to your account. Follow the requirements you gave learners, explain feedback clearly, and distinguish an unfinished submission from a technical upload issue. Available grading and resubmission options depend on the course setup.
5. Keep course information consistent
If several learners ask the same question, improve the lesson explanation or resource. Save the correction and use an announcement when students need to know about it. Keep a record of the course and lesson you changed.
When to involve platform support
Send account access, payment, persistent playback, or permission problems to Fomedi support. Include the relevant course and issue without sharing passwords. Use Live Classes only when that feature is configured for your course; its presence in the menu does not itself schedule a session.
